Now with full responsibility for the leadership and development of How2Become, Joshua will steer the company's growth over the next few years.

Joshua said: “It’s an honour to be given this opportunity and I am very much looking forward to working with our great team here at How2Become in order to continue the growth of the business, and also serve our customers and readers with the best possible books and services we can offer. I am incredibly proud of the team we have at How2Become. Everyone works incredibly hard and we’ve built a super environment to be a part of. It’s an extremely exciting time for How2Become and we’re working hard to create a brand that people immediately think of when they are looking for a new career or if they have an exam approaching.”

Commenting on the appointment, How2Become’s founder Richard McMunn said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed running the business for the last 13 years and feel now is the right time for Joshua to take the company forward into its next stage of growth and development. Having recruited him as a temporary admin assistant a few years ago, I have been delighted to witness his development and more importantly how he has embraced the changes in the publishing industry. I have no doubt he will continue to take the business forward and I wish him every success in his new role.”

Joshua Brown takes up his appointment as Managing Director on 1st of October 2017. At the same time of his appointment, Katie Noakes will take on a new role within the business as publishing manager and Gemma Butler will become the new manager of operations. was founded by former Kent Firefighter, Richard McMunn, in 2005 when he came up with the idea to write about and provide advice on how to join the UK Fire Service.
